I am client 0! I continue to train and make progress after 10 years of training and learning. I started at 6’1” weighing 140 lbs. I gained 70 lbs of muscle through my training and competed in powerlifting. I have gained lots of muscle but also have been through cutting and dieting. I made all the mistakes so you don’t have to, I would love to help you with your goals!

“I wanted to start working out and get strong, but wasn’t sure where to start. Barbell Therapy accelerated my progress as a beginner and now training is the highlight of my week! Working with a coach was the best investment I made this year.”
–Melisa M, Barbell Therapy Athlete, 6 state record holder

“I’ve dealt with moderate to severe back pain for 15 years. It was constant. Some days it was less and some days it was more, but it was always there. For years I tried weekly chiropractic visits, frequent massages, every kind of physical therapy/pain management “solution” including cortisone shots, daily PT exercises, stretching, rolling, scraping, dry needling, even back surgery. They all helped a little and felt good in some way, but all temporary. I found myself back in bed for a week or two every time I’d push too much playing golf or snowboarding and I love to be active so it was a downward spiral of depression and hopelessness. About a year ago I randomly found Jake at BBT and committed to start a routine with his guidance. I knew strengthening would help but was very nervous and anxious about it because I figured I was just going to get hurt again, but I hadn’t had a trainer/coach before so I was hopeful. Jake walked me through a few exercises on day one. Immediately after doing the first deadlift my back screamed at me and I thought that was the end of that. Long story short, with Jake’s guidance and experience, I’ve been able to bring my pain from a 4-5 out of 10 to a 1 or 2. And I’ve stuck with a consistent workout routine since then. It’s been by far the most effective therapy I’ve ever experienced. Whether you’re looking for a good coach to help you get started with a few exercises or you’re a seasoned expert in the world of heavy lifting, I can’t recommend BBT enough….go see Jake! He’s extremely affordable, always reliable and loves helping people achieve their goals no matter what level you’re currently at.

I love the vibe at the gym, it is personal and supportive. Jake and his team are passionate about what they do and that passion is inspiring when you work with them. Jake is very educated and knows how to cater trainings to each individual.

“I started training at Barbell Therapy about 5 months ago and love it! Jake is an incredible coach. Facility is awesome. I had never weight lifted before and was nervous, but Jake is the greatest trainer. He is so knowledgeable and you learn so much. The vibe is awesome and it’s a growing community I’d recommend to anyone.”

“Barbell Therapy is a gem of a local gym, with plenty of equipment to suit my particular needs. The owners pride themselves on having enough squat racks, Smith Machines, free weights, etc., so that there is rarely (never) a wait to use one, in contrast with the box gyms around. The equipment is standard for those competing in powerlifting, CrossFit, or Olympic weightlifting, or just for those who want to lift heavier with better quality equipment than a Vasa, Eos, or any of the others. The environment is also very friendly, inclusive, and welcoming to women, BIPOC, Latinx, and the LGBTQ+ demos.”
